Ml Abdool Haq Makada
Moulana Abdool Haq Makada is a senior South African Islamic scholar and spiritual guide based in Durban, widely respected for his lifelong dedication to the teaching and preservation of the Holy Qur'an. He completed his Hifz in Cape Town under the guidance of Shaykh Salih Abaadi Yemini and later traveled to India to complete his higher Islamic studies (Alim-Faadhil course) at Madrasah Miftahul Uloom in Jalalabad. During his time in India, he became a close student and disciple of the eminent Hazrat Maulana Maseehullah Khan Saheb, under whose tutelage he traversed the path of Suluk (spiritual reformation). As a senior Khalifah in the Chistiyah Maseehiyah spiritual chain, he is the founder and Principal of Madressah Mueenuddeen in Durban, where he oversees the memorization of the Qur'an and provides spiritual mentorship to the community. He is recognized as a contemporary and lifelong friend of many senior South African Ulama, including the late Moulana AR Khan, and his teachings are widely disseminated through his regular discourses and the Mueenuddeen platform.
