Ml Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar
Hazrat Moulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Saheb (RA) was a renowned Islamic scholar, spiritual mentor, poet and founder of Jamiah Ashraful Madaris in Karachi. He was born in 1928 in the district of Pratapgarh, India, and later studied both Hikmat and the traditional Islamic sciences, benefiting from senior Mashaaikh including Hazrat Moulana Shah Abdul-Ghani Phulpuri (RA) and Hazrat Moulana Abrarul Haq Haqqi (RA). Hazrat migrated to Pakistan in 1960 and established Khanqah Imdadiya Ashrafiya in Karachi, from where his spiritual and reformative work spread to many countries, including South Africa. His lectures, writings and poetry focused on the love of Allah Ta’ala, spiritual purification, adherence to the Sunnah and practical reformation. Hazrat passed away in Karachi on 2 June 2013, leaving behind a lasting legacy of Deeni service and guidance.
