Ml Yunus Patel
Moulana Yunus Patel (1945–2011) was a highly revered South African Islamic scholar, spiritual guide, and the former President of the Jamiatul Ulama Natal. Based in Durban, he served as the Imam of Masjid-e-Noor in Asherville for many years, where he became widely recognized for his profound expertise in Tasawwuf (spiritual purification) and his ability to articulate complex ethical concepts in a practical, accessible manner. Beyond his local leadership, he was a prolific author and an international orator whose teachings focused on cultivating a deep, conscious connection with the Divine while maintaining high moral integrity in everyday life. His legacy continues through his published works and the numerous educational and welfare initiatives he established, which remain influential across the global Muslim community
